Custom decoration design

What I mean by that? These are websites that offer prints from photography and / or image creation that you can choose in their library. Everything is available in different sizes, in various materials (paper, wood, aluminum,...), the potential customer has just to choose and order. If he chooses one of your images so you can receive a commission that depend on the size and type of draw. Depending on circumstances, either the prices are fixed by the site, or you yourself choose the amount of your commissions.

This market is very different because the audience isn't the same as for microstock. But the commissions are much higher, it's worth spending a little time. For now, I'm on two French and two international interesting sites, but have made no sales, I leave the state and I throw a look here for 6-8 months, watch this. .. ;-)

Next (2012-02-21): After almost two years, always no sale! Well, I gave up... What a pity.

But other sites offering custom objects seem to me interesting, seeing that...

As you may have noticed, I'm always looking for new opportunities to enhance my images. So I put on this site : Zazzle to try to sell my logos and 3D images.
What's nice with this site is for only one design, you can decline more than 50 different products! T-shirts and sweatshirts of course, but mugs of several kinds, key chains, stationery, protective shells for Iphone and to IPAD, shoes, boards of skateboarding, etc. ... In short, lots of diversity, which is very interesting to sell this type of personalized products!

For now, I barely 1300 products online, and I made 2 sales... But this quantity is too low because Zazzle is global and the number of products offered for sale is really huge!!
According to the info I could find on forums, you can start making some sales on a regular basis when we reached the 4 to 5000 products. But it's not insurmountable, because their creation system very well thought out, you can create easily 150 to 200 products an hour's work (aside from the creation time of design of course).

I will continue to increase the size of my store and I could see how it goes! See you soon...

Next (2012-02-21): I've now more than 8000 products online and I made between 2 and 4 sales a month, it isn't fantastic, but I think it's enough to continue! To be continued...

My shop on Zazzle

Here is a site oriented rather "artistic" it's deviantArt. So when I say art, it means that you can find anything, drawings, photographs, video, sculpture, etc. ... And since there is no selection, the worst alongside the best!
You can see creations absolutely fabulous and strange things sometimes, even a little "trash", but also frankly ugly stuff! In my eyes, of course, because all tastes are in nature...
See the practical side, it's an internationnal site claiming over 100 million pieces, so it's in English only, once again, sorry for the pure French! You can create a free account and then show your gallery. There is a paid version that removes advertising and gives more opportunities to sales, but honestly the free version is fine for testing!

The big difference from the RedBubble site, I mentioned some time ago, it's higher attendance and more choices of media to sell your images. There are the classic frames, transfers on Plexiglas, postcards, posters, but also magnets, mousepads, mugs, puzzles and I forget...
Finally, I find this site very cool where you can see artists really extremely talented, and then, in terms of sales, for the moment I don't know, because I'm registered for only two weeks!

Logo deviantART

Another site that I recommend is RedBubble. It's an Australian site, which is exclusively in English, where you can file all your works. Your photographs, 3D images, drawing, painting, which will eventually be sold in printed materials such as postcards, posters and frames, calendars, etc...
And that's a sharing site, there is no selection, your creations will be popular, or they'll not, but it does depend on you! There is also the possibility to file images to be printed on t-shirt, but within a few technical constraints of format and resolution of images that are very well explained on the site.
Last detail, it's you who determines the amount of your commissions, by default they offer you 20% of sales tax-free, but it's up to you! You can access my portfolio here :

Those are the only sites of custom design that I use for now ...
